A healthy body begins with a healthy mouth. Dental Wellness Visits include a thorough examination of all oral tissues, screening for dental conditions, and a review of medical histories that can show signs of concern in the oral cavity suggesting an oral-systemic link.
A Dental Wellness Exam is much more than a cleaning. Here are all the screenings we perform on your visit:
- Radiographs
- Jaw joint exam
- Gum disease screening
- Head and neck oral cancer screening
- Airway examination
- Tooth examination to identify decay, cracks, fractures, wear, chemical erosion, abrasion and breakdown of existing dental restorations
- Tooth and arch position review to ensure proper growth and development and bite alignment
- Dental aesthetic review for color, position, and gum display
We recommend coming in for a Dental Wellness Exam bi-annually.
